Let's Talk Romance !!!!

Calimama~ I am glad that you enjoyed it. I have to admit it I have reread it because of how much I loved it. The age difference did not bother me at all either but I think that had a lot to do with the growth and time they had on the Island before they got together. I think I might have balked a bit had they hooked up right when they had gotten lost and TJ was still 16 but the development was just so real that it felt natural to me for them to fall in love with each other. I know she really got hit hard by the press and I cried many times with there reunion to there families. It was a very heartwarming story and the first time I read it I was reading it so fast that my eyes started crossing but the second time I just sat back and enjoyed it. It is defently one of those types of books where as soon as they start selling them in actual book form at a store close to me I will buy to have plus I would buy as gifts to fellow friends who I know would enjoy it as much as I did. I read a lot of books and many different styles but there was just something different about this one.

I was so upset when they parted but I understood Anna's thinking that TJ needed to get out there and make sure he had the life he should have had if it hadnt been stolen from him being lost on the island. The part that got me the most was when he sent her the card in the mail offering his sperm to have a baby. That probably seems weird to someone who may read this who hasnt read the book and is looking at my words going WTF but it was a really great moment I thought and I cried once again. The first time around I was so pissed at TJ for sleeping with that chick when he was drunk and stoned but the second time I realized that it was part of him doing the grow up,figure out what you want thing and I got over it. Ok, I guess I'll just quit right there because I think I could go on and on but I do think it was probably one of my favorite reads this year so far in it's genre.

The release date for Once Burned by Jeaniene Frost is June 26th.

Has anyone read Overseas by Beatriz Williams? It's a time travel romance - new release, debut author. Darynda Jones has been singing it's praises before it was even available for preorder, and her pimping has gotten to me.
It also has a cover strikingly similar to A Discovery of Witches....I wonder how much of a coincidence that is.

Thanks for the Shadow of Night date Dopple. I can't believe it's being sold for $14.99 on Kindle. I was hoping prices would start going down again. It just seems so over priced to me for a digital book. I think I'm going to wait for awhile on this one. Unless, of coarse, you guys say it's fabulous then I may have to splurge.

I preordered it even while picking on 2shay...told ya I was kidding...as much as I didn't love the 1st, I am hooked like I am with LKH, whether I like it or not. Just like Twilight. Ugh! LOL

Does anybody else read Laura Kaye? I am in the middle of her sorda new release Her Forbidden Hero and so far it is really good.

YES!! I read a really naughty novella by her a few weeks ago: Just Gotta Say. I don't read a lot of erotica, because I'm more of an emotion junkie than anything else.
Just Gotta Say was perfect, yes it was naughty with a capitol N, but there was a surprisingly sweet romance mixed in with it.

I've also read Forever Freed and Hearts in Darkness by her and loved them both. I'll have to pick up Her Forbidden Hero too!

Ive read a few before. Some pretty steamy ones too. I haven't read her though. I'm open to somethig new and fresh here and there.

I haven't read that book Dopple but I LOVED Hearts in Darkness. That was a perfect story. The Forbidden Hero turned out really good. It was a "I want him but he dosen't think he's good enough for me kinda love story." My favorite kind!

Laura Kaye does write good stories. I think you would probably like her GP.

I LOVED Hearts in Darkness also. I was kinda afraid of it at first because it was so short but, wow, she made me fall in love with the characters. I haven't read anything else by Laura Kaye. I'll have to check out her other books.

The characters in HID were easy to fall in love with. Caden and Makenna were great! You should check out Forever Freed and North of Need the first book in her Hearts of the Anemoi Series. That was a really awesome book and the next one West of Want comes out at the end of July.

I just finished The Gamble by Kristen Ashley. It was the world's longest book. It was good but I never thought the thing would end. The sad part is that 1/3 of it could have been cut. Every time someone would say something to the heroine, she would response with "Sorry?" Then they would repeat themselves. Or if someone would make a statement to her, she would respond saying the exact same thing but in a question. For example, person #1 would say, "I'm getting a beer." She would say "You're getting a beer?" #1 would say, "yes, I'm getting a beer." The book was good but wow, it needed an editor.

HI All!!! It's been a while since I popped in but I just read a 2 book saga by Sylvain Reynard- Gabriel's Inferno and Gabriels Raapture. Enjoyed them both and recomend. I also read Bared to You by Sylvia Day..... I liked it but the second book does not come until October and she stopped the story right in the middle of a major scene so it annoyed the crap out of me....

I just finished DEVOURING Overseas by Beatriz Williams.

It's a time travel romance. Modern day wall street investment banker heroine and a British WWI hero...hero. I loved Julian's old-fashioned speech: "Now look here!" Made me think back to old Fred Astaire movies. (I love Fred Astaire.) I know WWI predates Fred Astaire, but Julian was just so suave and clever and classy and *swoon*. Interesting twisty stuff regarding the time travel too, although some of it I saw coming. I just wish Beatriz Williams had more books out there. Overseas is a standalone and I want more. *pout*
