| I cheated....just a little. Have already started.....just a little....waiting for Third Grave to release. I will tell you all this.....you are going to LOVE this book.
ETA: Some of you may remember that I don't really care for witchy books. Well....I take it back. This is wonderful. Now I am just dying to get back to it.

| I know, uap....those non-sex scenes are horrible teases. I did.ultimately enjoy the book, but I have some criticisms too.
One thing about this book, it does provoke strong responses. I'm looking forward to reading everyone's posts!

| I actually promised one of my best friends like a year ago I would read it despite the strong opinions I had heard about it. I just never got around to it so I'm glad you guys picked it so it is forcing me to read it and therefore keep my promise. Heck I'm ashamed to say once again that despite all it's many many shortcomings I enjoyed the easy read that was the Twilight saga so who knows....I may like this and turn off my editorial brain. I sure have read and enjoyed worse. | |

| I got a chance to look at the links to DG's comments and they share a lot of the same criticisms I had of ADOW. But I didn't find those to be deal breakers - I still enjoyed the book. I think it's fascinating to read DG's comments about another book. I would consider her a master of the craft, so her comments carry a lot of weight. I agree with her about the lack of sex in ADOW - it *has* to be important to the setup for Book 2 in the series. I won't say more until others have read it! She's probably dead on with her other points too but my mind didn't go that direction as I read.

| Well, I am about a third through and I am finding the strong attraction and romance to be very satisfying. Unusual for me. Heck, after Cat and Bones and BDM I was a little critical of how little sex was in Outlander until the intimacy between Jamie and Claire struck me as being better than sex! I will get back to it as soon as I finish Third Grave.
ETA: I read DG's review. Well...hmmm.....so far I don't agree. I think the characters are very engaging but I reserve the right to change my mind later. But, come on..can DG really criticize anyone for leaving a book with no ending? How many cliff hangers have we been talking about of hers? That didn't even sound fair.

| To be fair, I thought ADOW had a decent ending that will transition to the next book nicely | |

| ADOW She's still at the library and I'm enjoying it. I am a fan of a well built world though. I can see how this book would be heavy for some. | |

| ADOW This book is just fascinating to me. The world is really complex and we learn more with every page. These vampires and witches have so much history! And wow..! Talk about your May/December romance. Matthew has lived so long and has known some of the most interesting people in history. That alone would be attractive to an historian like Diane. Not to mention he is as beartiful as an angel. | |

| ADOW They're BUNDLING!! This is one of the sexiest things I have ever read! Touching and kissing. Learning each other bodies. Getting to know each other in every way. Sweet little orgasmic pleasures. Diana went with Matthew to HUNT! He was sure she would hate him when she saw him feed. I LOVE THIS BOOK!! Is the next one out? I'm at 62% and already fretting because it's going to be over too soon. Dopple, I think you are the one who first brought this book up as a club read? Don't remember for sure, but I do remember you giving it really high praise. For either, or both, thank you. This is well worth the time. ETA: Shit! She's been kidnapped by a witch! Damn it! | |

| I thought it was showme that suggested it for a group read....not sure, but wasn't me. I forget what I suggested! Lol ETA: Book 2, Shadow of Night, comes out in July. ADOW The bundling was interesting, because of the historical perspective. But I was so frustrated by it! Boink her, dammit! | |

| Fae...I'm sorry you're having a bad week. Anything we can do? And....THANK YOU for this book! A gazillion bits of history and the world is fun and entertaining and a little scary. Dopple.....does the boinking happen? Hasn't yet, but ....call me crazy.... you all know I love the sexy stuff (A LOT)....I am just about swooning over how romantic they are together. | |

| Sex in ADOW Don't get any hopes up about boinking. I'm pretty sure the boinkless romance is a plot device for book 2. More on that as y'all finish. | |
