**MAJOR SPOILERS** Cruel, Cruel Kim!

I was spoiled by a spoiler, and not in a good, gotta know kinda way ... So I thought maybe a thread where you can discuss Kisten, or any other dramatic events, in full, may be a good idea. Remember don't mention the unmentionables on the entire series thread, where people could be 'spoiled'.

Heck I just realized I can't be here either.... For a while anyway .....

I've been avoiding this thread as I thought it contained major spoilers that I didn't want to read as I am only starting White Witch Black Curse today. I need sleep! I've been finising these books off in three days or less back to back! Addicted, who me? :geek:

Anyway, I love and miss Kisten!! I hated the pool table gift and what Ivy did on it. What kind of gift is that???

I was totally caught off guard by what happened to Kist in FAFDM. I don't know why as we he really wasn't a major character, but damn I was depressed after reading that book.

Rachel's mom is hilarious and I hope she is in the rest of the books. That KH - what an imagination!

I don't know why when I get mad, I have a compulsion to say "Rhombus" - like that is going to change anything! I guess that is better than saying, Tink's a Disney whore, or Tink's Tities, or anything else that comes out of the mouth of Jenks!

Oh I bawled my eyes out over Kisten. Partly because I loved his character, but mostly because of the way KH conveyed Rachel's emotions. Such good writing. It tore me up.
I thought the pool table was a cruel reminder too.

I found myself saying 'damn' a whole lot more after reading these books. Better than Tinks Tampons (maybe), but not nearly as fun.

Oh twin, I;m so glad you're into the series now...told ya it gets better and better and better as it goes on. I wish I had a running list of Jenk-isms! I do love the way as the series moves on that she never forgets Kisten...like he wasn't just some guy...like someone else I hate *cough* Icky Nicky *cough*

Hey Dopple, I agree it was both Kist's character and the way that KH gave us insight into Rachel's emotions is what made us feel so deeply for the loss.

The only negative that I would have about the series is the angst between Ivy and Rachel and the blood bond. Just jump into the sack and get over with already or just call the whole thing off and be friends. OMG, I want to pull my hair out reading their scenes together. I don't think they will ever sleep together as I haven't read a popular series so far where the female protaganist sleeps with another female.

Hey twin! I appreciate you, Dopple, Sabby, and Kimba recommending this series to me. I am loving it.

I love Jenks and Marshal, but I think that all roads lead to Rachel ending up with Trent!

"Icky Nicky" is right. Sabby was telling me how appropriate that he started out as a rat and I concur. Can't wait for him to get his comeuppance!

yes, we called him nams such as "the rat", "Icky Nicky", "Nick the rat", "vermin", etc when we used to chat at the old place, without comment....LOL. I thought Trent also, but Kim has made so many misleading comments...like one where she said if they ever hook up it will be in this book coming out and things like that they sound as is even if they would hook up it wouldn't last. She said she offed Kist becuase he was too perfect too soon and she had way too much plot and books so off he went. You have to give an author credit for doing something so bold because you know she lost readers from that. At the same time it was such a shock and so bold that it was a breath of fresh air in a genre that HEAs are rampant. I do miss him dearly though, as little page time as he had.

I like that KH is not forthcoming in telling the HEA, it makes it more interesting.

From the very first book there have been signs that Trent and Rachel our destined for each other. I'll be very surprised if they don't. Just like I'd be very surprised if Sookie doesn't end up with Eric.

I admire KH for being able to know when it is time for a character to go. If only LKH would get a clue, the Anita Blake series would be so much more intersting! IMO

I actually wouldn't be surprised if Rachel doesn't end up with anyone at the end of the series. Plus side to that would be she's end up with whoever we decide in our own heads!

I thought of Nick right away when I did the poll Swede, he is absolutely the most loathsome character!!! Even worse than Bill I think.

I was absolutely unequivocally devastated by Kisten. I also don't quite understand why seeing as how much of their relationship happened more off page. But he was just the perfect combination of badass/kickass/sexy/playful but yet still vulnerable. He is definitely still missed; although it makes sense what info uapeople mentions from KH that he "peaked" too early, I guess.

It was so hard not to give anything away Autumn!!! Trying to discuss my love for Kisten without revealing his loss!!! Here's to another week of sleep deprivation ... but entertaining week!!!

Although I agree with Autumn about all arrows pointing to Trent (at this point); my but is firmly in Big Al's camp!!! What can I say any man who can pull off a crushed green velvet jacket..... has got to have some major chutzpa!!!!

I was crushed by Kisten too and I even knew it was going to happen (accidentally spoiled) - did nothing to stop the devastation, Rachel was so horribly wounded and didn't really catch a break from then until now. It was hard going, but I just love the series.

LOL...actually I think book one was supposed to originally be a stand alone...and who was she there with in the enmd of that one? *wink* Honestly, I don't care who Sookie ends up with as long as she's happy...I pretty much like most of the suiters, but Bill the most with a close second of Eric, but I have this strange feeling she may just end up with Sam. I like Alcide and Quinn also.

Don't hate me, but I'm a Richard fan (in the first 10 books, I fell out of the series arouond 11 or 12). My ideal situation for Anita would be for her to have Richard during the day and JC at night since they like to share anyway.

LOL- I agree Richard is Hawt, just sew his mouth closed...LOL.

Sorry- I love Bill in the books the most but Eric the most in True Blood. Sorry- we may only agree on all things Outlander it seems...LOL

I'm only halfway through WWBC but am now just starting to enjoy it. I think I am still pissed that Kist is no longer with us so my mood was spoiling my read.

Did anyone else cry when Rachel is in the hospital because the baby sucked out her aura and she is remembering what it was like in the hospital when she was sick as a child. Then, she runs into the children's ward with the terminally ill kids and she is conversing with them sensing their knowledge and their upcoming fate? So SAD!!!

Favorite Jenks line so far from this book: J to R in the hospital preparing for her escape and he is trying to convince her she needs a wheelchair: "You're as strong as a fairy's hard-on." Love that Jenks!

It seems inevitable that Matalina is going to die. I just hope it is not in this book, my heart can't take another major death just yet!

Jenks is such a scene-stealer. LOVE him.

I thought the funniest bit with Jenks in WWBC was when he hid in the hospital room hoping to see Rachel's catheter removed. Because he'd never seen that before. That little stinker!

The children's ward was sad. Gave us a better picture of Rachel's background, and that's sad too. I was surprised Ivy didn't realize that Rachel used to be one of those kids. Or maybe she just never connected it.

I also found it interesting that vamps (who are scary creatures in Rachel's world) are so gentle with the sick.

Jenks hands down gets the best one-liners by a side-kick in any series

So I just finished Pale Demon!!!! LOVED it and all the yummy Trent. I agree about pierce wasn't fond of him and Al can have him for all I care, and Jenks does have the best one liners. But after his trip to Disney I am afraid I won't hear that Tink's a Disney Whore any more. I have been up to my elbows in this series and I am going to go through withdrawals until the next one. I hope her and Trent end up together them together

I just love it. We don't have to much of a long wait. Pale Demon was probably one of the best books in 2012 IMO.

Yeah i definitely agree that Pale Demon was one of the best books this year. Im a unreptantant AL lover he just tickles my funny bone; and although he tries to act tough and cruel... I cant help but feel he's so vulnerable. Anywhoo Trent's ok too..
