This is a novella in The Art Of Dying. This is a great, great story. One of Josh's best mysteries. And, a multi-deminsional love story. I know any of you Josh fans will love this story.

Now, I am moving on to Jordan's story, Body Art.

I loved when Con was telling Finn he would take care of him even though he was going blind, and Finn's response.

Fitch may have been a shit-head, but wow, that woman was crazy.

Yes, and Finn loved Fitch, and had totally overlooked what a mean ass he was to others. I take a little self satisfaction in being able to figure out the mysteries, but this one really surprised me.

Holmes and Moriarity or Dangerous Ground. Snowball in Hell was very good. I liked the Ghost Wore Yellow Socks, Perry is adorable. The Darkling Thush is Josh doing fantasy and I loved it. He also has a new one coming out tomorrow This Rough Magic. You really can't go wrong, I've enjoyed them all. You HAVE to read The Dark Tide first!!! OMG I love that series

Yes, finish Adrien and Jake before you move on. The Holmes & Moriarity series is very good and funny. I also love Fair Game, which is a standalone novel.

If you are interested in authors other than Josh Lanyon I heartily recommend Jordan Castillo Price's PsyCop series. They are fantastic.

FLF, ironically enough I wanted to read JCP when her chat was scheduled but since I couldnt find a physical book to buy at the stores; I held out to not start on an e-book craze before I got my e-reader. UUuuum yeah but that didnt last very long with the rave reviews coming from Joshlandia (and direct pimpin from Swede); so I've relented, and here I am. So I guess now that means JCP is next after I get my hands on more Josh!!!

Sabby--My suggested reading order.....Holmes &Maoriarity.....Dangerous Ground.....PhyCop by JCP....then back to Josh. You must work PsyCop in. Sooooo good. And, I have been on a mission to read everything Josh has published! It is a lot! Don't get totally side tracked from another fabulous writer. Jordan's series is way good.

Sabby--I have said this so often that it is getting redundant. Without my kindle, I couldn't be reading these books. Too many people through my house. The covers alone would be........well, contriversial.

ETA: Not that some of the bodice rippers wouldn't cause raised eyebrows, too.

... And on the Dick lit theme - Ethan Day is really, really worth a detour for!!

Actually some of the bodice ripper covers and titles are much worse.

OMG!! I can't believe I left Ethan out! Snow Ho is about the funniest thing I have ever read, and the sequel is just as good. But, my favorite is At Pipers Point. Every thing he has published is worth the time.

I read The Dark Horse and The White Knight. Not one of my faves in Joshlandia, but still a good read. I liked the second one more than the first - it felt like it had better character development. I think the writing style was a bit too romancy for my preference, which is maybe why I wasn't as engrossed as I am with the other of Josh's books I've read.

White Knight & Dark Horse

Just a bit about the characters. I really, really loved Dan. He was so much of what Jake could have been if he had come out much earlier. I couldn't help but make that comparison. I thought Dan was just a wonderful man.

Sean on the other hand, annoyed me almost non stop. I understand how hard it must have been to be institutionalized for being gay, but he took his fear level too high, for me. He was very lucky to have Dan.

Sean also does seem to have some mental illness thrown on top of horrible experience. I understand his reluctance to get help given the horrors of his past. I appreciated that Sean was a character that wanted someone to take care of him and admitted it. Probably not a guy I would want to hang out with though.

Sean did really piss me off at the end of book two with his comment about the roles confusing him in terms of his physical reactions. I'm not an actor, but I found that to be a major cop out.

Yep. Nearly everything about Sean was just annoying. I didn't dislike him. He had had a pretty tough time about his homosexuality. I got that. But, I agree. I think, though I don't know a lot about it, that he might really have been bi-polar. Or, something. I know two people who are diagnosed as bi-polar, and neither acts exactly like the other, and Sean didn't act exactly like either of them. But, I did see the similarities. Only, Josh knows for sure. Maybe Dan got him into treatment.

Well, I'm not sure everything about Sean was annoying. He uh,...uh...uh... He Kept Dan well fed! Yeah, that's it. He kept Dan well fed.

Dan did say that he fell in love the first time Sean made him breakfast! But, what about that whole "cooking everything in the pantry" incident. That realy sounded bi-polar.
