Did anyone here not like the series? I know people seem to either love it or hate it. With the exception of a couple of little parts I loved it.

RC--Only a few of us have read it. Autumn has read it and starbrites is in the process. I have told them we have a thread. Hopefully we will have some posting going on. Some of the girls here like "real" BDSM and some won't read any. I have no idea how many we can lure into our playroom! whipping roflmao Hey, Nikkie, if you're around....we need a "spanky" smilie! Rolling Eyes shay\\'s baby Bree doesn't like that idea. Like she's ever been spanked!

Well, I read it only because I had to know what all the hype was about. For a long time I wanted no part of it. But my curiosity kept screaming at me. And next thing I know I can't put the book down. Housework was neglected. My family had the nerve to try to talk to me while I was reading & ask ridiculous questions like "Are you gonna cook supper?" To which I replied "Ummm, no I'm not. Here's some money. Go get yall something."

roflmao @ readerchic...! And then when I was reading it, you had to stay close to the computer all day to just tell me, "It'll be okay. Just read a little further. There's a reason. It isn't that bad. Take a break for a little while. Yes, it is intense." roflmao I will never forget that! I have never required so much hand holding to get through a book.

HA! And I was happy to do it. A friend done the same for me when I read it. After that terrible scene toward the end of book 1, I emailed my friend & told her I was done. I just couldn't read any more but she talked me into it & I was so glad she did. And I didn't want you to miss out on such a wonderful story either. And actually I don't think it would've had the same impact without "that" scene. It was like a turning point.

I haven't started it yet shay but I'm working on getting to it. Right now I'm still in a funk. I feel like I lost my reading groove and I don't know how to get it back. Sad

........he clambers out of the bath, giving me my first full glimpse of the Adonis, divinely formed, that is Christian Grey. My inner goddess has stopped dancing and is staring, too, openmouthed and drooling slightly.......

Snippet from The Contract

She (the sub) shall without query or hesitation offer the Dominant such pleasure as he may require and she shall accept without query or hesitation his training, guidance, and discipline in whatever form it may take.

Ana's inner musings on considering whether or not she wants to sign a D/s contract with Christian Grey.....

....You can't seriously be considering this.....My subconscious sounds sane and rational, not her usual snarky self. My inner goddess is jumping up and down, clapping her hands like a five-year-old. Please, let's do this....otherwise we'll end up alone with lots of cats and your classic novels to keep you company.

The only man I'v ever been attracted to, and he comes with a bloody contract, a flogger, and a whole world of issues.
