Dawn of Darkness so I can't really pinpoint why I don't trust Nate -- maybe I figure that there as to be treachery somewhere o.O and now I find the hand holding; hair finger brushing and the kiss may be because of Mik practicing his come hither vibes while Nate slept, so i do feel bad about that. Is the next book definitely his POV? And not Ash's?? Isn't that Ash on the cover?

That tunnel scene was pretty scary. Why was I thinking it was the Chunnel ?? Is Aldar in England? I am sure I saw a map somewhere.... Maybe on Daniel's site. If I find it I will post it; or add it to the links on the first page of this thread

Is there more than one underground tunnel from France to the UK?

All the Nate stuff was when I had my "Waugh" moment. I don't know why I felt mistrustful.

The tunnel was the Channel Tunnel. Aldar is essentially the remains of London and the surrounding towns.

The next book isn't Mik's POV, or Nate's - Nate get his POV in the companion book / prequel. And that's all I'll say tongue

No. I don't think there is. We did the London to Paris in one hit. Can't remember how long it took but it was fast!!

OK, no.... Anna has only just told Mik that there is sod all he can do about his come-hither-vibes - assuming he has actually bewitched someone; but I don't think he has questioned his and Ash's relationship yet .

Anna is funny - I like her snarkiness. In fact I love their snarky interractions. Russel is creepy. And I have just read the bit where they talk about the London Eye .... so at least that wasn't a stupid question (AT the time) phewwwww

I am liking the idea of Mik's powers being an extension to his action at the time.... interesting possibilities Wink

Loved the bacon sarnie bit.... cute Nate "well all you have to do is ask" as he then grills the bacon

And I am so intrigued to find out more about that day of the orphange, when his powers first manifested themselves .. and what the actual trigger was..... 79% done woot!!

End of Chapter 19, when Mik realises he may have done something to Nate:

"There was a moment of panic when I wondered if I could have subconsciously drawn Ash to me with my ability, but then I remembered that Ash was immune to my ability. He described it as his empathy recognising the emotions weren't his own."

It's basically as Mik describes it... Ash's empathy makes him immune.
