| OK... This is our pick for April. I have archived the nominations so we can just pick from them next time round .... Is that alright? | |

| That plan works for me too (archiving our other pics for use next time). I've been holding off on starting Wicked because I expected it to be our April pick - didn't want to jump the gun. Starting as soon as I finish my current book! | |

| Well that sucks! I already have it on my kindle - no problem getting it in the US. Maybe in the future we should check and exclude books that aren't available in Aus and NZ, as well as the US. Do we currently have any members in England? | |

| A couple but I'm not sure if they read the book club reads. It would be wise to make sure we have all books easily available internationally in case someone does want to read from anywhere. | |

| Sorry Swede, I couldn't help myself and I started.
I haven't gotten far (3 chapters and they are fairly short), but I like the beginning. Anybody here read Bunnicula when they were a kid? You might have a flashback!

| I just looked up the one by Delilah something and I hate to do this, but although it has great reviews, the description just isn't sounding like anything I'd even remotely be interested in, so instead of possibly forcing myself to read something, I'm going to skip this month since I am behind on my TBR list any way. Sorry everyone. | |

| No worries, uap. I can tell that this book isn't going to keep everyone's interest.
I'm about 15% in, and it's weird. The world-building is elaborate, unique, and just plain odd. Have you watched any of that Cirque Du Freak (Vampires Assistant) movie? It's like that on crack, with added smexy. There is a lot of magic (Shay!), but it's carnival type stuff done with flourish and the use of a top hat.
I'm intrigued, but then I like weird stuff. | |

| I did see the vampire's assistant. very strange movie...not bad but not my cup o tea. If I want strange/different, I tend to go for the "Running With Scissors", "Donnie Darko", "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas" type of different not the.... oh gosh what was Heath Ledger's last movie...that is what it reminded me of...or the Broadway musical where Johnny Depp was making meat pies of people...those are not my cup of java. | |
