I am not sure if you all know that ZAM had a house fire, losing everything I believe ; ZAM is a friend of PURLS, having chatted with us a couple of months ago.. and whilst I am sure monies raised in book sale royalties won't make a dent in all the costs that a house fire incurs, we can at least show support for her here, by having her as our featured author; and sure..if there are any books from her list that you don't have - then buying them won't go amiss

Drawn Together
ePistols At Dawn
The Pharaoh’s Concubine

I went and bought the Stirring Up Series and Vigil heart

I have read most of her other stuff.... I own pretty much all her books now, but I like to keep a little stash of unread books by each author thinking
I think that E-Pistols at Dawn may just be my favourite book of hers. If I was forced to chose.

E-pistols at.Dawn was great. It poked fun at so much, i'm sure I didn't catch half of it. Took me half of the book to catch the joke in Jae's name! (Jae-sun = Jason!) And how often do we get an Asian male love intetest? heart In any genre. Stacia Kane is the only other author I know that has written one.

Wow...! Thanks for the thread. This was really thoughtful. I have read most of her stuff but am glad to see the list since there are a few I've missed. I haven't read ePistols.....how did that happen? I will fix the problem. heart

E-pistols is soooo funny! The lead protag, the author, may just remind you of an author we "know" Wink

Fugitive Colour is also excellent. It has a definite Lanyon vibe to it, in my opinion. Yeah Fae, book 2 and book 1 were my favourite St Nachos reads

I loved St Nachos.....I wasn't crazy about the last one...the story was wonderful but Cam is one of my fav characters and I thought he deserved better than Daniel. Wasn't crazy about Daniel.....

Loved her vampire series and the Stirring series was the first of her books that I read. Funny.

I absolutely LOVE her St. Nacho series and the first is my absolute favorite!!! The way that Cooper and Shawn struggle to communicate and connect just makes it such a passionate and endearing story!!! And the rest are pretty hot too!!!! Wink I went on a complete ZAM Fest before her last chat and read almost everything. The only thing I haven't read is the Pharoah's Concubine (but have it) and a couple of novela's.

Its extremely traumatic to bounce back from the loss of your home under those circumstances. In terms of material things hopefully her insurance will cover it.... its everything else that cant be valued and is irreplaceable thats tough to lose, pictures, hierlooms etc. But most importantly everybody is ok; including their dog.

During our house fire we lost absolutely everything (and had no insurance) so it took a good year to bounce back (to somewhat of a normal state). And we lost both our dogs in the fire and my father only survived because a neighbor went thru the back door and got him out... he had already passed out from the smoke. So yeah it really is a scary scary event!!! But it sounds like ZAM has been able to recover some things so hopefully it didnt spread too much throughout the house!!! So um moral of the story keep up with your homeowners/renters insurance.... you just never know!!!

I loved St Nachos. The first two were excellent! Epistols was great. The first Stirring Up Trouble was pretty good. I'll have to pick a new ZAM to read. Now which one???????????

Sabby Sad That would be traumatic. A lot of work and time to build things back up too.

I liked both the Stirring books too, especially the first one with the utilikilts. Those were a nice little touch!

There were so many moments in ePistols I had to pause and tackle the daisy chain of parody! I do believe I gained a few IQ points reading it.
ePistols itself is one big giant parody about a gay man upset over a comedic knock-off of a gay coming-of-age book being written by a woman, written by a woman. Then there's Jae-sun, the tall Korean who works for The Adversary. Assume nothing, because ZAM screws with stereotypes in ePistols.
Have I mentioned how much I love her? heart

Me, too..! Just finished. I almost didn't buy this one. The title sort of put me off and the preview on Amazon in no way did credit to the book. I thought the whole concept just sounded silly. Wrong. This is a very satisfying book. I loved the characters and took them all seriously inspite of the fairly obvious parody.. I should have known that if KAM wrote it, I would love it. Silly me.

Oh my gosh. I just finished Secret Light. This is just beautiful. Sad. Happy. One of ZAM's very best. This woman can tell a story. The gay men in the 50s. What a tough life.

Dopple....yes. The Hanukkah story that ZAM said was so special for her.

Swede...it was a pretty hard read. 1955. One of the protags was an Austrian who had been sent away by his family when he was 14 to avoid the worst of the war after Austria was pretty much taken over by Germany. Most Americans couldn't tell the difference or didn't care that his family was running from the Nazis as much as any. He has been keeping a huge secret for his entire life in America. Two. Being gay could get him killled in those days, and almost did. No happy-go-lucky gay guys in 1955. And another big secret.

ETA: I forgot to add. This is a really happy, satisfying book.
