| Shattered Glass - Dani Alexander PsyCop - Jordan Castillo Price Fair Game - Josh Lanyon Adrien English Mysteries - Josh Lanyon Cut and Run - Abigail Roux/Madeleine Urban Shades of Gray - Brooke McKinley Zero to the Bone - Jane Seville A Matter of Time - Mary Calmes Guarding Morgan - RJ Scott The Good Thief - James Buchanan Coffee, Doughnuts, Beer, Pizza - Elle Parker LA Series - PA Brown Life Lessons - Kaje Harper Romano & Albright - LB Gregg Skyler Foxe Mysteries - Hayley Walsh Last Line - Harper Fox 72 Hours - Clare London Flesh Series - Ethan Stone
This is a tiny sample of all the PI / Cop protag books that are probably out there. And of all the genres, within m/m, it is probably the one that has me itching for another great new read the most! With Psycop, Adrien English and Cut and Run, not to mention Shades of Gray and Zero to the Bone... the bar is set high. Verra, verra high indeed!

| Good grief, Charley Brown! That is an amazing group of stories! I need to read the few...very few... In this group I haven't read. Just so you know, whether or not it's m/m, these are the types of stories I love the most. The very most..better than paranormal. If this is the kind of story you like, regardless of the gender, you should like Pamela Clare's I-Team series. Shannon MacKenna's McCloud Brothers series. We all loved these listed stories so much, I am surprised we haven't read more of the plain old action/adventure/suspense/romances. | |

| Holed Up by Hank Edwards, a short story - but really good! Definite Shades of Gray and Zero to the Bone-like.... Which is definitely not a bad thing, right? Right. | |

| Sticks and Stones! There will likely be spoilers in this post. I don't know when I bought this book. I don't remember buying it. I didn't think I would continue with this series, because the disjointed dialogue bugged me so much in Cut &Run. But there it was, on my phone (Kindle app), and I was in a dentist waiting room thinking to hell with disjointed dialogue. I'm too bored to care. Now I find myself reading it every chance I get. 5 minutes here, 15 there. Either the dialogue has improved, or my disjointed reading style fits it. I love Ty's family! Grandpa and his shovel is a riot, and Deuce is awesome. I'm at 60% now, and I'm amazed Ty and Zane haven't been caught in the act. I suspect Ty's mom knows more than she lets on though. I felt a little guilty for thinking Ty's breakdown during capture was funny. Lines like "You don't tell your captives you're going to kill them!" shouldn't be funny, dammit! But it was. Dammit.

| Cut and Run was hard to read. I really had no clue at all who the fuck was saying or thinking what in some instances even after rereading the lines several times. The other books in the series are FUCKING AWESOME!!
Yes, some of the flashback lines were funny and I think necessary to alleviate tension. | |

| Sticks and Stones Oh man, a mountain lion now? Damn. I'm enjoying Earl and Deuce's POV - interesting to see how others see Ty & Zane together. Because really, they seem pretty mean to each other except under 2 circumstances: 1)life-threatening danger and 2)sex. And they also feel like horribly unreliable narrators when it comes to their feelings for each other. What Deuce and Earl observe between them is a nice confirmation that they really do care for each other outside of the bedroom. Obviously Earl doesn't know they sleep together but he's come pretty darned close to figuring that out. I'm still wondering if he'll have that EUREKA! moment where he pieces it together, or if he'll walk in on them and have it made too obvious to deny. I'm hoping one of the two happens! I'd like to see Ty & Zane stop with the furtive glances, brushing hands against each other instead of holding them, speaking in code, etc. One more little thing...I suspect this book is going to end in a way that breaks my heart. Zane told Deuce, outright and without hesitation, that "No" he does not love Ty. (I wanted to reach through my Kindle and knee him in the balls for that!) Ty has just had this revelation that he is in love with Zane. With Ty becoming more and more sick, I wonder if he'll lose what little filter he has between his brain and his mouth. Then I wonder what kind of reaction he'll get in response. | |

| Shattered Glass, by Dani Alexander this book hooks you from the first page. I have a feeling it is going to be Zero to the Bone kinda good!! (funny bone!) http://slashfiction.org/Consider it pimped to the max ! | |

| Just bought Shattered Glass. Any comparison to Zero At The Bone is good enough for me. Didn't cost much, either. I have a couple of books ahead of it, but I will read it soon. Thanks, Swede. | |

| It is brilliant!! It isn't like ZttB per se. But as a one off, new author - oh my God this is brilliant way it has humour, angst, smexy ... EVRYTHING! In spades!! Only 50% in . Still loving it. More twists and turns than I would have though , and some lines that melt your heart!!! | |

| Sticks & Stones Finished! Zane didn't break my heart. Go, Zane! The last line about not fucking things up seems ominous for the next book, but perhaps that's just my cynicism showing through. I'm amazed that Deuce is the only one who knew about Ty & Zane's...partnership. I thought maybe Dick had gotten wise, thought perhaps Ty's mom had figured it out, and was convinced Earl was onto them. Dammit dammit dammit!! I'm glad that Deuce at least knows. I hate all the hiding they had to do. Final verdict: This was a huge improvement over Cut & Run. The dialogue was tighter and I enjoyed this book so much more because of it. The helicopter showing up at the exact right moment was ridiculously convenient, and the idea of mountain men in search of treasure was hokey. But the emotional tension was so ripe that it overcame all that. This wasn't quite an OCRD book for me, but it was awfully close to that. It competed with Perfect Blood and Fiery Cross for my time and held it's own. That's says a lot. | |

| I love the relationship that is developing between Ty and Zane so much that none of the rest of the story bothers or distracts me at all. I love Deuce, too! | |
