The letters in Vadim's back were pretty horrible. Dan really scared himself there.

I finished last night. I LOVED Soldiers. I don't mind brutal and it added to the intensity between Dan and Vadim.

I finished Vets today and I am exhausted!! Sabby - I nearly chucked the kindle at the wall! I think Whit and I very nearly stopped at the same point. But I am really pleased I finished - it is the most intense and gripping story I have ever read. I cried soooooo much!!

I will say this - there is a HEA !!! Ths is something I have to have in a book!!

But there is also a lot of sex - not always enjoyable to read; not because it is BDSM or anything - but just too much, and pointless - almost just porn, at times. I skimmed a lot of the scenes. And monogamy is not a big part either.

Ultimately I loved the whole series. There could have been huge bits edited out IMO and they may be when the rest are edited by Vashtan/Voinov.

Yeah I'm definitely continuing on, but will stop after Soldiers to read the new KH and maybe something else light and fun before I get back. I mean apparently I'm going to have to pad my walls in case I want to Nook throw as well!!
That's what I was talking about with the physical holding pattern for like 100pgs. it was like encounter-sex, encounter-sex and very little progress the story kind of just took a nap?? But its back on and am loving it!! Dan just returned to Kabal and started his new job with the Ambassador; seems to really be in his element. Their discussions about it ending was heart breaking I was glad to see how much Dan showed it affected him .

Same thing happened to me when I read them. I found them riveting.

So I finished a few days ago and forgot to post how much I loved the ending!!! It was so amazing the legnths Vadim went thru to get to Dan. And how much Dan opened up in wanting Vadim to continue to be a constant in his life. I was surprised by how relatively calm the ambassador took the news of Dan's and Vadim's relationship; granted Dan saved her life and all but..... I still would have been more suspicious. Really fantastic story guys!!!

Unfortunately yes I would of loved to continue on but I have to read a couple of books now; which of course are not grabbing my attention but am going to try and get thru them. Than be able to come back to these guys..... I just hope I dont regret the hard times they are going to put me threw either!!

The ultimate end is well worth the journey and the "pissed" spots ;-)

I don't at all regret having read the SF books. I actually am glad I did. It's a freaking journey, though. I cried through most of Mercs I. Not like Dark Horse crying, more like a steady drip. More than anything I had to remind myself that what works for me in my relationship isn't what everyone else needs or wants in theirs. If the characters in the book are happy that's what I need to accept. LOL

OK.... So the Viking in my bed turned out to be more BDSM than anything. But not a good 'un. There were some funny bits but on the whole (no, not a pun) ... It was more corny than porny

I am actually feeling the need for Lorcan .... I think it will be #3 to go ... Not that I'm counting OR making plans.

A Strong Hand by Catt Ford

I picked this up on a recommendation from Swede on the Facebook Ty and Zane page. She said that it is a gentle little story, and she was right. I enjoyed it a lot. It's a short little read. I loved Damien and Nick. I loved everything about this story. Nick wasn't interested in the more severe pain play and reacted badly to caning and Damien wasn't interested in delivering that much pain, either. Loved them both for that. Nick was WAY upset by the club scene, Damien saw it and led Nick into using his safeword so they could leave. Really good story. Doesn't diss anyone for what they want, but doesn't shy away from the loving and personal and PRIVATE lifestyle that they want to share.

This story reflects almost exactly what I find acceptable in a BDSM read. Annnnddd......it's surprising how much it reflects Ana's attitudes in 50 Shades. In fact, what Damien and Nick enjoy would be what Ana refers to as "kinky fuckery". Ain't nottin wrong with that. Damien and Nick should read 50 Shades. They might learn a few interesting things. Well, maybe not. They were pretty innovative! Sweet read. I recommend.

I know this thread is for m/m, but I think this is the most appropriate place to talk about it. Most of you have moved away from anything het, but if you really like BDSM, you might want to consider Maya Banks Sweet series. Not every book in the series has BDSM, but most do. The ones that don't have a lot of information about the people/couples from previous books who are deepley into the lifestyle. Some of the stuff was too much for me to handle. There is a LOT of club scene stuff. One of the characters owns a sex/BDSM club and a lot of the action takes place there. I read this whole series...well, I confess that I had to skip over some scenes.....the rather rough blowjobs just made me cringe, and there were quite a few of them. But, actually, I liked the characters so much that I will read the next book if she ever writes it. There are a couple, or more, stories with multiple men doing one female sub.....ahem, some of that was pretty damn rough and I skipped some of it, and some menage stuff. Actually, I will say again that even though there were aspects of this series that I don't like, overall, I like the characters so much that I will continue the series is she writes more.

Glad you liked Strong Hand

I read Special Delivery by Heidi Cullinan last week and it's hot! This one hits a few hot points. Older man/younger man ( 20s and 30s), D/s, manage, voyeurism, and running off for a lusty vacation with a kind of stranger. The MCs are slutty which I like I really enjoyed most of this book. The manage stuff isn't for me but that was just a small part of it. I recommend! Double Blind is book two and meant to be even better.

Yeah, I just read the Craig hook up - and just coming off Junction X which was simply amazing and so into the characters, this one (Speicial Delivery) is just reading as lines of sex to me; not really connecting with the characters

OH! I liked them. I remember tearing up at one point. It does have lots of sex but there was a lot of personal realization going on all over the place without it being too heavy.

Junction X was just so intense.... Anything else would probably just be words.

I wouldn't be scared at all showme. It was a very intense book but man it was one helluva read! I am still thinking about that damn book and it has been many days and a few books later.

I just finished Double Blind! It was really good. I think I could have done without all the poker lessons but I know it was part of the story but other then that for me it was even better then Sam and Mitch's story. I hated Randy for a little bit in SD but then I started to like him and by the time I got 10% into his book I was already loving him. There was a bunch of stuff going on in this book and it was not full of sex like SD not saying it didn't have any in there but no where near as much. Now, I am going to go over to her website and get her free short story called The twelve days of Randy. Special Deliver 2.5

Ha! I usually don't mind but even I thought there was a bit much in SD. In DB it had both guys Pov's which was nice. I wish it would have been like that in SD. The Twelve Days of Randy was cute. I think the author needs to write more in that series.
