Angels & Demons

There are some character sins I can't get over in books either. I think Al has become a fascinating character, but I'm not really looking at him as a love interest for Rachel. I do think his murder attempts were less an abuse of a woman issue and more just a violence issue. I mean that in the sense he would do the same horrible things to a man. I can't remember which book or what transpired exactly but I do remember a scene where Rachel extended trust to Al and he respected her wishes. Everything changed between them for me at that point.

Al's certainly not an angel. Snort.
I still don't trust him one little bit, but he does make me laugh. As the books go on, I like him more.

Jessamy was interesting, and Galen was fun. But neither one was particularly memorable for me. I want Illium!

We also get a Guild Hunters novella in Oct about Noel, from book 2 and an as yet unmet angel. I don't know when we get the next GH novel. There will be a PC novel in May. I want Illium too.

Ha, I voted for Pritkin even though I want Mircea for Casey's HEA. I can't deny that Pritkin is pretty fabulous.
Oops, I didn't read the directions before I voted and I only voted once. I think my second vote would have been for either Raphael or Ilium.

I adore Al, I mean a man/demon who can pull off crushed green velvet!!!! Ok in all seriousness is he a brutal character absolutely but so is Trent (who most people love) he just has other people do his dirty work (mostly) unlike Al who takes a very hands on approach. I agree with Fae that Al's violence doesnt seem to be at all gender related its just a power/dominance issue with him that's very equal opportunity. But obviously its harder to see/hear/read when its a man beating up a woman. I dont know why I have such a soft spot for him..... I know the humor's part of it but there is also a vulnerability there that I think were just starting to see.

It's a Pritkin Illium tie! We may need a showdown.
