PostSubject: The Supernova Saga   The Supernova Saga Icon_minitimeThu Dec 08, 2011 1:02 pm

C.L. Parker is an author of paranormal romance and lives near Louisville, Kentucky. Her reality is that she is easily lost to a world of fantasy, driven to bring her characters to life if only in the pages of a book, for their story is one that must be told.

About the Saga

The Supernova Saga TWCSlogo

About the Saga

Book 1-Supernova

AAs part of a chosen bloodline, Kerrigan Cruz has inherited a gift: supernatural powers which give her the ability to protect a person’s free will from those who wish to alter destiny for their own design. After her grandmother’s passing, Kerrigan meets Dominic Grayson, an alluring stranger with a secret of his own. Dominic has been cursed, touched by both darkness and light, and Kerrigan is the only one who can save him. In their world, only three things are certain: His curse. Her gift. Their destiny.

Book 2-Cataclysm

They thought the worst of the storm was behind them. In reality, they had only weathered impossible odds to find they were smack dab in the eye of an unforgiving cyclone. More was on the way. The raging bands of chaos that surrounded them forced the destructive walls of the monster to close in around them. Taking on a life of its own, the storm growled and gnashed its teeth, threatening to devour everything they ever were or ever would be. There would be nothing but devastation left in its wake, and it had set its sights on Kerrigan Cruz and Dominic Grayson.

Through the howling winds and punishing lashes of rain, a stranger came. The promise of a better tomorrow, a brighter, sunnier life filled with hopes and dreams rests in the palm of his hand. It is knowledge, a formidable weapon when wielded by the right person at just the right time. If she can only harness the power of this stranger’s knowledge, Kerrigan might be able to save the one she loves before he fades into nothingness, and she is left all alone.

But is this stranger friend or foe? Drawn to her side by an unseen force, will he enlighten Kerrigan or will he seek to claim her for his own?

Cataclysm: Through the darkness of night, Light will lead the way.

Okay. I loved this story. I have read both books. Most of you know that I don't really read a lot of books that are heavy on magic. This story is, while not exactly magic, something that is close to magic and sort of magic but more about characters who have magical abilities. I was fascinated. By the time I was about 1/3 of the way through Supernova, I was hooked. After Cataclysm, I told CL that I was going to kick her butt because I want the next book NOW! Good characters...hot sex....and a little gay best friend, Gabe, that is so snarky! (He hooks up in Cataclysm, too) CL is throwing a bone (ha!) for the m/m fans! Loved it!

ETA: Oh. Yes. CL is just a great gal and a lot of fun.

My review for CL's second book in the saga:

Cataclysm is an absolute page-turner! No matter how late the hour or how early you need to get up, you MUST keep reading to find out what happens next! Parker weaves a visual tapestry with her words making it easy to visualize the places and people in her story. I was living vicariously through her characters, wishing I was Kerrigan with her Dominic. Parker gives us wickedly sexy, sizzling hot scenes that tantalize and tease the reader. Hold on to your tissues because there are definitely some heart-wrenching moments as well. This book will suck you in, holding you prisoner to the story until the very end, where you will be blown away by the secrets revealed and anxiously awaiting the third book in the Supernova Saga. Parker delivers, believe me!

I give it: star star star star star

Is this Maureen from FB by chance? Lol

I'm only half way through Cataclysm because RL has seriously keep my ass this past week. But I plan to remedy that this evening when I lounge in a hot steamy bathtime with my Kindle and get back to this fanstatic story!!

I absolutely got sucked right into this series from the beginning of Supernova.
I swear Gabe's character is one of my all time favs excited

Hey! Hi there! How ya doin'??

Oh, lookie ... a forum for Gabe to let his luxurious locks down and play. Are you really sure you want to create this sandbox of sin for him???

Alrighty, then ... who wants an ebook?? Let's play a game ...

Gabe is quite the character, but so are Kerrigan and Dominic. You can see a sample of that in the deleted scenes for Cataclysm that I posted on my website, http://www.cl-parker.com/#!cataclysm .

Answer the following questions and be entered to win a special prize:

In the Chapter 9 Cataclysm deleted scene, what inanimate object do Kerrigan and Dominic use as a prop during their playtime? What is the purpose of this prop?

Answer correctly, and I will enter you into a contest for a free ebook version of Cataclysm. BUT WAIT! There's more! .... I will also throw in an ebook copy of Supernova as well for the low, low price of ... ZIP, ZERO, ZILCH, NADA!!! You have until 5:00 pm EST Saturday evening to post your answers and I will announce the winner during the chat.

*shama329, you are disqualified from playing this game* Hehehehehe! No cheating!

In the meantime, any questions about Supernova or Cataclysm? I'm happy to answer them here, or we can wait for chat.

FLYAS!

Oh, my God! The book trailer is great! If you've read the books, the video is absolutely perfect. Follows the story exactly! And the song! The is just what Dominic feels! Does not feel worthy of Kerrigan and can't believe she loves him! Wow!

I think PM would be best so that other people don't get lazy and steal your answer. LOL!

I kid, peeps. Put away your torches flirty

Shay, the video ... IKR!!?? I was so excited about the song AND the video! Bleriana pieced that together masterfully, and people simply must go back and watch it after they've read the story to truly appreciate the hard work that went into putting it together!!!

I agree, CL. I don't think the trailer would have near the impact watched cold. After reading the book, it was just perfect. Spot on!

ML---You will love the Rogue Mage series! It's wonderful. I have read it twice. I will check the threads every day when the group read starts.

If you chose somethin else, let me recommend Darynda Jones....First Grave On The Right is the first book, Second Grave On The Left is the second book....Third comes out in January. With just two books, she has become one of our favorites.

But, I think you will have a blast with Rogue Mage.
